![]() ![]() If I played it for the first time now, especially after the newer Deus Ex games which play much better on both PC and console, I don't think I'd like it as much, but being able to remember what it was like playing it when it was new, it scratched an itch for a type of experience you didn't really get on consoles as often back then (KOTOR came out that same year). As a guy who loved the first game much more for its story, lore, setting and world building than just the gameplay (which was also great), I could take less customization and depth in building my character if it meant I got to experience another Deus Ex on a console. Its biggest problems were things that were likely because it was built for consoles in mind - the ammo system, the weaker RPG aspects, and the open world and exploration was crimped to fit consoles and the loading screens sucked.
